Living in a city
A city with a history
You think that you know her
But you don't know her anymore
So many whispers speaking
Where you've been before
Too many rumors living
But I have nothing left
So many lovers so many left
empty streets and a hollow chest
living in the city
dying in the city
x2
Dying in the city
Living in the alleys our dark places
Swallowed by your empty spaces
Ive been drinking Ive been down
Your love is violent your love is cruel
Such a beautiful thing that I've played, that I've played
So many lovers so many left
empty streets and a hollow chest
living in the city
dying in the city
x2
To all of you
All of you, I don't need you none of you
x4
So many lovers so many left
Dying in the city
Yeah
So many lovers so many lost
Living in the city
After I discovered GUNSHIP with UNICORN, I went through all their material in a rush. They're whole discography is great, and I think this is the greatest. This album haunts me. I can't listen to it once. Even if I turn it off, I still hear it echoing in the back of my mind. GUNSHIP has a mastery of the bridge that reaches the level of mastery in this album that's just unrivaled. If you get only one album from GUNSHIP, get this one. Mailanka
I could be incorrect on this but I believe this artist is influenced by both Joy Division and New Order (judging by the musician's title and the Track "Shallow Play") Don't sleep on this album; he's going to be an absolute legend. mrp1per
On their 10th record, the Glasgow-based group serves up more wonderfully menacing, gothy synthpop, perfect for dungeon dancing. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 19, 2023
